A delightful 32-hour ferry trip on Lake Volta

The ferry was full and the first-classs passengers with their air-conditioned cabins in isolation on the top deck. I never ask for favours, but really did appreciate the insistance of the crew that us white-skins can camp out on that deck. We were even given a mat on which to sleep. Luxury! The food produced in the kitchen was excellent, the bar supplied drinks and the view of the distant trees as one chugged North, soothing. We stopped at a few places and had time to stretch legs and view villages. Sadly, often frightening those little children who had never seen a white-skin.
